I have been anticipating this wedding at The Winery at La Grange in Virginia for some time now. I’ve seen it marked on my google calendar and have been counting down the days. Why, you ask? Well…quick background…. Years ago, Jill Brickey pulled up in the parking lot of our church and casually poked her head out the window of her car, and said to me, ” Lillian, when I get married…I want YOU to be my photographer!”. That was over five years ago and Jill has since then moved to Virginia for a job. And lo and behold, I get an email from Jill asking me to come to a winery in Virginia to shoot her wedding. Winery,..you say? For Jill,…? Ummm,..YES!!
So I am about to have a heart attack I have been dying so bad to post this wedding! I’ve been working every other moment I am not wrangling kids and doing mom stuff…and its just not cutting it. My normal work days devoted to editing has not been enough to even put a dent in this wedding. Why? Because there were too many gorgeous and sweet details..so many happy people, and too much love to photograph it was ridiculous! Ryan, (who by the way has become a permanent fixture on the Lillian Prince Photography team)…sorry for that quick business announcement. But,.. Ryan and I finished out that night and left saying, ” That was awesome!”.
I hope…with a capital H-O-P-E that these images can accurately capture the love and happiness that was so evident everywhere. Outside of the gorgeous location and details…I HOPE that we were able to take this machine of a camera, to carve out of time details and moments that you can feel, smell and touch. Not that THAT is even be possible! But my goal with any photograph I take is that I can reign this little piece of metal and glass to render a portrait that would make you feel what was felt…sense what was present. Kind of like a scratch in sniff, 3D, virtual kind of picture. Yup,…I’ll patent that one..
But seriously,..this wedding rocked the house. Jill and Bryant, congratulations!

Ryan took all these pictures of the winery while I was inside with the girls.

Jill’s gift to Bryant…

These pictures of Jill’s father first seeing her were so precious! Their love for each other was so visible and genuine…

From Jill, To Dad…

First look ….

Ryan snagged this perspective. Love the canopy of the leaves…

Right before the ceremony, we were all ( all meaning 10 plus ladies) in a very small hot attic like room. Jill wanted me to make sure not to miss this moment. Jill’s mother passed away several years ago. And these three ladies were her mother’s very best friends. In honor of Jill’s love for them, she gave them each Mother of the Bride flowers to wear during the wedding. It was a precious moment, and there was not a dry eye in that room. The depth of love was felt by everyone…

…making Jill think she stabbed her with the pin…

The Naked Mountain Boys Blue Grass band was amazing! Ryan snagged these few details of the ceremony…

Time to get this girl married!!

I LOVE all these. Can you tell? I posted so many! Ryan took all of these. Folks, he’s a rockstar with the camera!
I was standing in the back and Ryan was stationed up front. He captured all these moments so beautifully. I just love these sweet moments of Jill with her Dad! Watch how her father is looking and absorbing Jill’s every expression.

A kiss with her husband and a sweet smile at her bestie…

Happy people! I love it!

These guys were awesome! And again, Ryan took these…

Canned cobbler deserts. They were yum-o!

Lil- you and Ryan both did a great job on Jill’s wedding! The food looks tasty too. I think I could have had a wedding at a winery and liked that
