Meet Ben and Joy / Knoxville Lifestyle Photography

My good friend and gifted photographer, Ben Finch ( http://www.benfinchphotography.net ) asked if I would assist him in shooting a wedding  ( Ansel and Lisa ) he booked in Key Largo, Florida.   My initial response was, “Uhhhhh…YES!”.  I did NOT have to think about that for very long! We also immediately suggested to bring our spouses and make a week long vacation out of it.  Minus the kiddos.  Double score!  We had such a blast!!!  Really, beyond a blast.  It was outrageously fun!  The first day in Florida, we photographed Ansel and Lisa’s amazzzzingggg wedding on the beach.  Then the rest of the week we did what everybody else does at a beach without children.  Soak up rays, take naps, eat whenever you want…it was marvelous!  But with Ben and Joy in the mix, I think we all hit a new dimension of FUN.  We seriously laughed the entire time together!  No joke.  It was non stop hilarity.

Of course for the vacation part of the trip, Ben and I took pictures like we paparazzi…to be expected.  I do that on my own…and in my own house!  Each evening we swapped out sessions and we were completely determined to get super rad couple pictures for one another.  Since my only really pictures of Ryan and I are…well, I don’t have any!  Here is a session I took of Ben and Joy.  They were so easy to photograph it was ridiculous!  They laughed, they cackled, they  giggled, they even did the gasping-for- air kind of laughing.  It was grand!  Those are my kind of pictures.  Nothing is staged. No one is pretending. It is just you as you are.  Comfortable, elated, in LOVE.  It is a beautiful thing!  And it gives me butterflies…

So I introduce to you, Ben and Joy Finch…

I love all the little sweet moments that were happening!

Ben snapped some of Joy and I, my new bestie.

This one cracks me up.  Joy’s hair looks like a spider web attacked my face!

Such a fun summer picture!

I had too much fun with you guys!  Can we do it again…say next week?

Seriously.  Can we? :)

The Williams Family / Knoxville Portrait Photographer

I LOVE this family.  They are dear friends of ours from church and I was super excited to spend some time with them.  We got together this past weekend for a  formal portrait session.  I love how they all came out!

They were giggles the entire time.  But somehow they all were able to maintain their posture and smiley faces…cause in most of these shots, everyone is giggling.  Like belly giggle.  So fun!

I had so much fun with your guys! Enjoy your sneak peek!   xoxox lillian

Sweet Kendahl.  She has blossomed into such a lovely young lady.  Joy just exudes from her!

Alanna.  Love this girl.  She is so sweet.  Hang around her for some time and her fun and silly antics come out!

I love this one..!

Lawrence and his girls

Lawrence and HIS GIRL

It was so fun watching these two interact.  Vanessa was laughing so hard I think she hurt her stomach!

Beautiful Vanessa!

Okay, okay…so there are a lot of pictures of Vanessa and Lawrence.  It was hard for me to weed any out!

Destination Wedding / Knoxville Wedding Photographer

So my friend and sidekick in all my weddings, Ben Finch, booked a destination wedding in Key Largo, FL and asked if I wanted to 2nd shoot with him.  Uh,….YES!  Do I EVEN need to think about that one!?  On top of all that we immediately decided to bring our spouses….minus our kiddos.  Double score!

We planned to shoot this wedding together the first day in FL, then reserved the following week to officially be beach bums.  Oh my it was grand!  Beyond grand!

So like every wedding I get ready to post, I always have the painstakingly task to narrow down the number of pictures.  Who really wants to thumb through 40 pictures?  I do, but you may not.  But for this wedding, well….I stuck with the 40 pictures I chose.  It’s actually more than 40.  *blush*

So here is Ansel and Lisa’s beautiful wedding in Key Largo, Florida at the gorgeous Hilton Key Largo Grande.  The day was forecasting for rain, but everything turned out perfect.  Everyone was brimming with excitement, bride and groom eager to get married, beautiful details, and oh yes,…we are on the beach!  I think that I truly had an overdose of fun.  Well, if that is even possible.  Yet, it somehow happened to me~

On arriving we met up with Lisa briefly as she finished up hair and makeup.

Glowing beautiful Lisa!

I love Wedding flowers!  As the lead photographer, sometimes I do not get to spend the time I’d like catching details like this.  Thus why I have a 2nd shooter.  But AS the 2nd shooter, it is beyond fun getting to take my time details!

Flower girl ‘s little ball of flowers….so precious!

Talk about a Bridal bouquet!  Beautiful and massive!

Mother of the Bride’s outfit

After Lisa’s final touches, I met up with Ansel to cover the Grooms party pictures.

Enter: Ansel.  Ansel is so rock and roll, I love it.  He actually is a country music singer.  Check him out at http://www.anselbrown.com/.

I absolutely love how all of this images came out.  Ansel was a breeze to take pictures of.

All the fellas.  Chillin in the lobby of the Hilton.

During the cocktail hour there was some to die for appetizers!

Crab cakes

These beauties are bacon wrapped around  scallops.

Tuna in bite sized looking ice cream cones.  Super yummy!

Love this cake!  The seashells are actually white chocolate!  It was not until I got up close that I realized the seashells were not real.  Tricky tricky.  A yummy trick really….

I was admiring Lisa’s brother’s new baby when they told me they have never had a picture taken of him.  What!!!?? So I insisted on taking some pictures for them.  Love these two…

Here is the view from the reception and the deck where everyone was enjoying their cocktails and appetizers.  Gorgeous!!!!

There could not have been a more perfect day and evening sky!

The sun is literally setting in this picture…

For their first dance Ansel played one of his new songs.  It was so sweet watching them dance.  Lisa knew every word and sang to him the entire dance.

So sweet! So in love!

The Slacks / Knoxville Lifestyle Photographer

I love all of my clients!  I am such a lucky gal to have such amazing families who invite me into their lives!  I was thrilled to hook up with this family once more!    The boys have grown, but their sweet and fun personalities are the same! And Kristen and Steve still remain …forever…the sweetest people. This crew is so super easy to take pictures of!  Some might think that a “good” picture is where everyone is looking at you smiling.  Sitting tall, perfect, pretty,..wrinkle free.  But to ME, a perfect pictures is one where every one’s personality shines forth.  Even if there are wrinkles in the clothes.  And the Slacks always give me just that!  Themselves. Every time.  Laughing, hugs, kisses…I love it!  Kristen and Steve, I know you are on your 10 year Anniversary trip, so I hope this sneak peek is a reminder of how God has not only saved you, but blessed you so abundantly!

(p.s.  I will spare you the commentary on this post.  B/c literally I love them all!  So that is exactly what each one would say!)

Jennings Sneak Peek/ Knoxville Lifestyle Photographer

Love this family!  I met up with Elizabeth and Justin and got to see how much Reagan has grown since last July.  It was so good to see them all again!  Like meeting up with some long distance friends.  Reagan still has those stunning blue eyes and continues to be such a joy to her parents!  Of course over the lapse of a year for a baby, lots changes.  Like mobility.  Reagan was sweet as can be and full of curiosity!  Despite the hot and humid day, we all still had a blast and had a ton of laughs.  And let me tell you…it was hot !  Enjoy your sneak peek guys!

I did not fool with the color of her eyes. So what you see if really how blue her eyes are.  Simply gorgeous!!!

Okay so all of these pictures of Reagan capture her beautifl eyes so well.  But I just really love this one below!

Elizabeth was getting a second outfit out for Reagan.  She left the dress in the grass to get a hold of Reagan and I looked up to see ths adorable dress standing up on it’s own.  We all died laughing.  Then Justin got down on the ground and inserted his head on the top of the dress.  It is a hilarious picture…but I will just save that one for Justin to decide if he wants a wallet of it or blow it up….
