This wedding has been on my calendar for a long time. I got to meet Matt and Jessica at their engagement session earlier this year. They were both so laid back, I knew this Wedding would be so chill and fun. And it was!
On Saturday as I enter Salem Baptist Church…I hear music blazing from a room that leaves me little to guess where the girls are hanging out. They were all cracking each other up and entertaining one another with their antics and silliness. I could not help from cracking up myself! So there was the beginning of the Wedding Day…and it continued throughout just like that! I really had such a fun day capturing these pictures for Matt and Jessica. And there are some pictures I took that are my all time favorites as of now!
Matt and Jessica, if you have Internet on the beach- here is your sneak peek! xoxo lillian
I will start you off with the bling….

I loved the bridesmaids dresses…!

Jessica’s something BLUE. This label was stitched inside the back of her dress. So sweet!

Conner was the most adorable ring bearer. I love these expressions he is giving…

Love the shoes!!!!

Reaction to seeing Jessica in her dress~
Matt and Jessica saw each other before the ceremony. So I snapped a few of them in a field outside of the church.

And now the whole gang !

Jessica’s shoes. Love them.

Okay, okay. So I like her shoes. I think I took a dozen different pictures of these heels!

The beautiful ladies. A few of them were pregnant.
The one moment of anxiety I did feel that entire day was when I heard one of the pregnant gals telling all the other girls that she felt a trickle down her leg. But ” It would not have been my water breaking,… right?”.
*Gulp*
I think I could hear myself gulping out loud.
But everything was fine and no baby came that evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Ball! They rode a trolley to the reception at Beaver Brook Country Club.
We had some time to kill before being announced, so you better believe I took advantage of it! It was gorgeous out there!!!

Jessica’s dress had pockets in them! Now if that is not too awesome, I do not know what is!

I took Matt and Jessica on the greens to get some married pictures. Oh boy do I love all of these!

I LOVE this one. I had this vision of this picture come to me as we came to the greens. I had to mess with my settings to get the light right here. It is a tad off for me technically, but I am so in love with it still!

Okay, so this is the picture that I could not stop thinking about when I was driving home that night. There is always a picture you can’t wait wait to see when the day is done. And this one was it.
Did I get it? Did I do enough in that 5 seconds of a moment to “Be All That I Can Be” and nail it?
Jessica’s heels were sinking in the green and it was hot and humid. Not a day where you just want to be outside to take pictures…unless you are getting married that is!
So I had a sudden idea and grabbed a golf ball. I pitched the vision to her and she was all game. But to get her to balance her foot on a golf ball,…in a wedding dress,….on a soft golfing green,..in super tall heels…that was the challenge.
I ended up getting on the ground and taking her foot and put it on the golf ball for her. So here I am, literally underneath her dress and I am nervous that she is going to fall over or sink into the ground. This is not the time to test the light or make adjustments to my camera. No test shots here. I just have to snap and hope. And seriously the angle I was at, plus I think I was helping her hold the hem of her dress up, I had to turn my head so the top of my head is touching the ground and I took this shot upside down. Hilarious.
I was overjoyed when I got home and saw it. I love it! I just may get yellow heels after this!

The reception hall was gorgeous! I snapped a few before everything got too cluttered and eaten.
Ben Finch came and covered all the details for me, as well as be my double and take pictures during times I could not be in two places at once. Thanks again Ben!
Super props to Christie from Ever After for doing an amazing job with coordinating the entire day!

The view off the long balcony of the reception hall.

The amazing food! Yum-o!

Ray from Bliss Entertainment did an amazing job. They also did all the lighting in the following pictures…it was fab.
