Just like everyone else, you gotta start somewhere, right? That somewhere for me was the fall of 2007. I was shooting with a Canon Elph point and shoot camera and was lovin’ it. All I had was a a craving to take a pictures the way I felt and saw things in my head. Boy did I run that camera into the ground. I most certainly stretched the limits with that little camera, which so happened to fit into an Altoid mint box. With two semesters of photography classes from college under my belt, and my little point and shoot I could sense a deep craving to create images. And not just to make pictures, but to make magic. So here I am, years later with a bag full of gear that costs more that the birth of both my children…and I am happy as a lark. I am still creating images that provoke me, still making magic and still very humbled that Almighty God would give me a teeny bit of his creativity to do so! So if you want to see the beginnings of Lillian Prince Photography, check out my old blog. I put this link out here not because they are incredible images. By far there are many images that I wince when I look at now. But I share it with you to let you know that I am very human. I am not perfect and I certainly do not take wonderful pictures every time. I have learned A LOT the past years. And I am not ashamed to let people know that.
